The stitches the Primo creates using the wiper foot are quite different to those created by the loopers on traditional top coverstitch machines.

Vary the number and types of decorative threads you use to create a wide range of different stitches and embellishments for your sewing projects, truly setting them apart.

A wide range of decorative threads of various thicknesses can be used with the swing foot to add that extra sparkle to your sewing.

The serpentine stitch is incredibly popular with the quilting community, but is also a wonderful way to embellish special dressmaking or home decoration projects too. 

Choose between the triple serpentine stitch, the wide and narrow serpentine stitch and the serpentine chain stitch. You can also alter the stitch length to create even more versions of these stitches too.

Create a swing stitch by using both wipers - as the machine sews two threads are alternately applied to the coverstitch seam with a semi-circular swing. 

Once again you can sew a range of different swing stitches - wide, narrow and triple as well as the swing chain stitch.

If you want to increase the creative possibilities even further you can purchase a range of ribbon feet to sew ribbons and cords to your projects using the decorative stitches, or you can even make your own decorative tape by sewing the stitches directly onto the ribbons themselves.

As you would expect from Baby Lock it is effortless and easy to switch between the decorative wiper stitches and the traditional, functional coverstitches thanks to the easy swap feet and wiper engagement lever.

The needle up down facility makes sewing in the round on circular hems easier and the option to purchase stitch in the ditch feet for the Baby Lock Primo means coverstitching necklines and neckbands accurately has never been easier. Use the foot to precisely and evenly sew neckbands in place with the confidence you have secured the seam allowances on the wrong side of the garment.

• Air threading system - quickly and easily thread the loopers with a jet of air saving time setting your machine up so you can spend more time sewing.
• Thread delivery system - the automatic thread delivery makes creating beautiful stitches on a range of fabrics with a range of threads easy. The thread tension for the lopper and needles can be individually adjusted using two simple dials.
• Needle positioning button - the needle up down button allows you to finish sewing with the needle up above the fabric or down in the fabric, incredibly helpful for sewing tasks requiring precsision and accuracy such as stitching in the ditch on neckbands.
• Swing foot with wipers - the swing foot of the Primo differs from the standard foot found on most cover machines. As the wipers are integrated into the foot, the shank and presser foot are combined into a single unit. The wipers on the swing foot form the creative top stitch.
• Sewing speed controller - if you are sewing a particularly tricky area or trying a new technique you can choose to slow your sewing down and take things at your own pace to achieve the results you really want.
• Knee lift - raise and lower the presser foot using your knee so you can keep both hands on the fabric at all times, when readjusting or checking stitches.
• Magnetic needle storage - qucikly and easily store your pins as you remove them and avoid pins on the sewing room floor.
