A hardworking gilet. Make yours lined or unlined, with facings on the inside or outside.
Recommended fabrics
Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 7-12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. For the lining we’d suggest our barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise – cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.

Delivered Paper Pattern
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF, along with the digital pattern files, when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
PDF Digital Download
If you choose the PDF digital download option, a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email. We recommend creating an account before placing your order so you can easily access your files again by logging in at any time. The following files are included to print at home:
- PDF for A4 / Letter printout (35 pages)
- PDF for A0 / US printout (2 pages)
- Step by step sewing instructions in PDF format
