I feel positively warm and fuzzy inside just picturing the scene...
Christmas tree lights glittering in the background, mulled wine in hand, pretzels at the ready and the Sewing Bee Christmas special beaming from my TV to provide a huge dollop of sewing themed entertainment and laughter.
Christmas TV viewing just doesn't get any better than that does it?!

New Sewing Bee Presenter
While Sara Pascoe is stepping out of the presenter role to spend time with her new baby, Kiell Smith-Bynoe will be stepping into the coveted role for the Christmas special and series 10.
Kiell is perhaps best known for his role in the BBC sitcom TV series 'Ghosts' and has also appeared in a range of other TV comedies.
Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant shared his excitement on Instagram stating 'we got a new chum!' and saying the Christmas special would be 'super lolz'.
Esme Young proudly stated 'Here is the new family. Kiell Smith-Bynoe our new dad.'
We're not yet sure which celebrities taking part this year, although Kiell himself was a contestant in the 2021 Christmas special so we're sure he'll be able to give them some helpful tips.

We now know the air date and time for the Sewing Bee Christmas special 2023 - set your reminders for Thursday 21st December at 9pm. Cancel all plans: mince pie baking, gravy making, carol singing, whatever it is it can wait - you have a date with your sofa, some festive snacks and a healthy dose of sewing themed fun and lolz!
The contestants taking part this year include Toyah Willcox, actor and comedian Kerry Godliman, comedian and writer Jessica Knappett and actor Hammed Animashaun.
With two comedian contestants, a comedy actor presenter and Patrick and Esme's usual banter we're sure to be full of festive cheer.
The contestants will be tasked with sewing a Christmas stocking, turning puffer jackets into fancy dress outfits for children and creating their ultimate Christmas Day outfit.
All you have to think about now is what snacks and drinks to buy in for the big occasion.
