New Season Know Me Sewing Patterns Round Up

Know Me 2052 Shirt and Trousers (8-16) and (18-26)

Know Me 2052 shirt and trousers sewing pattern

Know Me patterns are designed by members of the online sewing community who have the opportunity to bring their designs to life.

This particular pattern was designed by Beaute’ J’adore and I just love the wide leg trousers with classic jeans features including a fly front zip, waist band, belt loops, jeans yoke and patch pockets. You also have options to add large patches on the front of the trouser legs for an extra fun details.

The trousers are paired with a contemporary oversized shirt with a drop sleeve feature, giving an oversized appearance, a dropped hem at the back, deep cuffs and a classic shirt yoke at the back.

I love the way this set can easily be styled for any season by using different fabrics. For winter I would create an evening look.

Sizes: run from an 8, which is a 31.5” bust , 24” waist, 33.5” hip to a 26, which is a 48” bust, 41” waist and a 50” hip.

For a winter evening look I chose our beautiful ex designer deadstock red animal print fabric to create a modern, contemporary look for the shirt paired with our lovely Prestige crepe in black, which has a lovely drape ideal fabric for the wide leg trousers.

Know Me 2053 Trousers and Knit Top (6-24)

Designed by the Stitch Fitz

This pattern includes another high waisted, wide leg trouser with belt loops and a fly front zip. It has pleats beneath the waistband on the front and back plus welt pockets, all in all some great design details.

I thin another advantage of wide leg trousers is that they are easier to fit - you still have to get the crotch and waist right, but at least the trouser legs should be easy!

Also included is a knit top with long sleeves. I love the creative design with the neckline - a diamond shape with a ruched channel at the centre front, fastened with a tie at the neck. This gives you the ability to manipulate the fit at the bust area. A lovely design detail, which is very effective and something different. You could also make this for an evening out with the right fabrics.

Sizes: runs from a 6-24 – Size 6 being 30.5” bust, 23” waist, 32.5” hip and the 24 is 46” bust, 39” waist and 48” hip.

I chose our ex-designer deadstock floral bold print fabric for the trousers, in fact I know the fabric was originally used for trousers in a very popular high street store.

For the knit top I chose a lovely stretch jersey called Ritual, which comes in a variety of colours. The black would be perfect with the bold print chosen for the trousers.

Know Me 2054 Sweatshirt and Cargo Pants (10-18) and (20W-38W)

Know Me 2054 top and trousers sewing pattern

Designed by Keechii B Style

This pattern has a definite 90’s vibe.

The cargo pants have 2 patch pockets on each leg, front and back and a tie at the ankle cuff to cinch them in.

I love the interesting diagonal design feature at the waistband, which is fastened with a tie and a ‘D’ ring, making it a really quirky design.

The sweatshirt has a kangaroo pocket, long sleeves with an elasticated cuff, and a lovely, pointy hood. The shoulder has a quirky, extra large cap sleeve.

Sizes: run from a 10, which is a 32.5” bust, 25” waist and 43.5” hip to a size 18 which is a 40” bust, 32” waist and 42” hip.

The size 20 - 38 starts at a 42” bust, 35” waist, 44” hip up to 60” bust, 54.5” waist, 62” hip.

I chose our lovely Sevenberry twill fabric in khaki/olive green for the cargo pants and think a plain fabric would highlight the quirky design details of the pants perfectly. It is a good strong fabric, but also feels smooth to the touch.

For the sweatshirt I chose our black sweat shirting fabric. I think the black/olive combination works well in winter or autumn or cooler days in the summer.

Know Me 2057 Jacket and Optional Hood (4-12) and (14-22)

Know Me 2057 jacket sewing pattern

Designed by Alissah Threads

A quilted jacket ideal fort both Autumn and Winter time with a funnel collar and optional hood, a front zip fastening, welt and patch pockets. A lovely, casual, versatile jacket.

Sizes: run from a 4 - 22. Size 4 is a 29.5” bust, 22” waist, 31.5” hip and a size 22 is a 44” bust, 37” waist and 46” hip.

It can be sewn up in pre-quilted fabric, corduroy, cotton blends, denims, flannels, wool blends or tweeds.

I chose our autumnal needlecord fabric, in ochre/mustard with a cute floral print.

Know Me 2058 Coat/Jacket (6-14) and (16-24)

Know Me 2058 jacket sewing pattern

A design by Handmade Millennial

A coat/jacket with a centre front button stand fastened with poppers and options for a longer or shorter hem length and colour blocking. It also has welt pockets, a small, stand up collar and a drop shoulder for the sleeves.

Sizes: it runs from a 6-24. The 6 is a 30.5” bust, 23” waist, 32.5” hip and 24 is a 46” bust, 39” waist and 48” hip.

You could sew this up in a wide range of fabrics, including sweatshirt fleece. I chose our sweatshirt fleece in two tones of grey to create a colour blocking effect.

Alternatively our fuchsia sweatshirt fabric would work brilliantly with the greys or perhaps our petrol blue colourway.

Have fun sewing!
