I am seriously bowled over by this knit dress pattern with options for a knee length simple Tshirt dress or on trend midi length dress with super cute tie front and side slits - twit twoo!
Personally I've already made the midi version in my head recreating the look on the pattern packet with our John Kaldor Cadiz cotton jersey fabric in mustard. This fabric is a high quality jersey and is a lovely weight for dresses.
For a more casual every day look I'd style mine with pumps and a denim jacket or flat sandals.
New Look 6656
All the heart eyes for this gorgeously elegant top pattern - an empire waist with gathers under the bust and options for voluminous flutter elbow length sleeves with a centre back cut out on the back or a sleeveless version with a covered back.
My firm favourite is the flutter sleeve version - the simple, chic back opening balances out those dramatic sleeves beautifully.
I would sew view A up in this pretty purpley blue viscose fabric with a pretty daisy design.
New Look 6651
It's always nice to have a classic shirtdress hanging in your wardrobe and this version feels a little more casual and every day than some designs thanks to the elasticated waist.
It also has options for short sleeves or a sleeveless version plus two collar versions - grandad or standard.
I would go for view A the sleeveless version and would make it up in our bold and bright new linen viscose mix fabric for a fun holiday vibe.

If you're looking for a special occasion dress this New Look dress patten has it all. Interesting design details such as a keyhole neckline, empire waist with tucks under the bust and a feminine waterfall/drape detail at the hemline it is the epitome of understated glamour. Options for a midi length or knee length skirt and short sleeves or a full length sleeve with elasticated hem.
I would go for the midi length short sleeved version and our John Kaldor Prestige Crepe fabric would be the perfect weight to do that wonderful hem justice. Available in a wide range of colours I would go for delphinium blue and embrace the summer wedding/party season.

I just don't have enough (one) jumpsuits in my wardrobe and this New Look jumpsuit pattern is seriously tempting me.
A scoop neck, elasticated waist with front tie and loose fitting trousers it looks like it would score highly in the comfort stakes without compromising on style.
I think it would fab sewn up in our super summery floral linen viscose mix fabric and can imagine how smug I would feel from looking put together and presentable with all the comfort of my favourite pjs.
New Look 6658
This fun take on a summer top pattern has a handkerchief hem and options for a short sleeved or sleeveless version, both with a V neck and front button fastening.
I would go for the sleeveless version and would make it up in our fresh lemon and white stripe shirting fabric and pair with my favourite jeans and sandals.
I hope you've enjoyed this little burst of sewing inspo and feel ready to jump into your next project.
Have fun sewing!
