This week I'm sharing my picks from the latest New Look sewing pattern release. I've picked out my personal favourites and have paired them with our gorgeous fabrics focusing on styles that will transition well between Summer and Autumn including dresses, tops and skirts plus we've included a slide show of the full range at the end of the video so stay tuned for that.

New Look 6678

Trousers and a top are included in this pattern, but for me it is all about this gorgeous blouse.

With the fitted bodice, those sleeves and the square neckline it reminds me of a Filipino terno blouse featured in one of the episodes of the most recent Great British Sewing Bee. I love the waist darts great for creating a good fit.

I think it would look rather lovely made up in this retro inspired cotton lawn paired with your favourite pair of indigo jeans.

If you're thinking about layering the blouse bear in mind the sleeves are pretty voluminous, but in a lightweight fabric like cotton lawn I reckon a chunky cardigan or jacket with loose fitting sleeves could work.

New Look 6676

For the whole of 2020 I've been admiring the midi length skirt paired with casual Tshirt, trainers and a leather or denim jacket. The epitome of dressed down chic in my honest opinion, a way to look effortlessly stylish and still feel comfortable. In other words, win win.

New Look 6676 would work perfectly for this look with a high waist, waist darts and a wide yoke for a good fit at the waist plus some pretty, feminine detail in the form of a gathered skirt with the option for an asymmetric or standard hem.

I would sew it up in our fun animal print crepe fabric and think it would work beautifully across all of the seasons. I would wear with boots or trainers and Tshirt or jumper in the cooler months then style with strappy sandals and vest top for the summer.

New Look 6674

With many people working from home this year the focus in our wardrobes has been all about practicality and comfort. However, after months and months of reaching for those old sweatpants and a baggy Tshirt it seems like we are craving clothing that fits the bill for home working, but is nice enough to lift our mood and answer the front door.

Hello New Look 6674 the perfect lounge pants or shorts with some lovely design details that will be fun to sew and wear.

High waisted with a paper bag waist, button down front and large patch pockets I would make them in our cotton sateen John Kaldor Marmaris fabric.

New Look 6667

You can't beat a simple shift dress for classic style and New Look 6667 has a few fun details for a little added twist. Check out the French darts (my favourite) and unusual square neckline.

Midi length with sleeveless and short sleeved options I think this could work for a variety of different occasions.

It can be made in a range of fabrics including ponte romas and double knits.

I think the short sleeved version in our plain Suzette fabric in navy or this lovely printed scuba would look super stylish, but would also be so comfortable and warm to wear thanks to the fabric.

New Look 6671

The peasant vibe is still going strong and is perfect for spending more time at home.

I love the gathered sleeves, princess seams and keyhole neckline on this New Look peasant style blouse.

I would sew it up in our pretty, dark floral viscose fabric and wear with my favourite jeans. If you're not into prints you could make a lovely version in our Prestige crepe fabric available in a range of colours.

I hope you've enjoyed that round up of the latest New Look patterns.
