Sewing Ideas and Inspiration
The latest sewing pattern release has arrived from Style Arc and we've picked out our favourites and paired them with fabrics you could sew them up in. Stay tuned for the slide show of all the designs at the end of the video too.

First up we have the Isabella top, a blouse with a simple bodice and fun frilly neckline it has long sleeves, bust darts and the neckline is gathered with elastic to create the contemporary frill detail.
I think this top would look great paired with jeans and heels for a smart casual look or perhaps under a suit for an up to date look at the office or on those all important zoom calls.
This top would sew up beautifully in one of our John Kaldor Paris fabrics, a silky polyester with fantastic drape, which would work perfectly for the neckline.
I chose the sage green colourway and blue colourway, but we have plenty more designs to choose from.

The Wilma top is an easy fit with no fastenings just chuck it on and go!
A simple silhouette with a crew neck and Dolman sleeves yet some great little design details including a centre front and back seam, front and back darts plus a tucked sleeve hem creating some on trend volume in the sleeves.
I think it would look great sewn up in our medium blue chambray fabric and paired with black jeans and white pumps for a modern look.

I mean is this the perfect Spring cover up or what?!
The Besharl jacket looks like a nice easy sew and something you would reach for again and again in your handmade wardrobe.
A robe style jacket with a shawl collar, slightly cocooned silhouette and hi lo hemline it would look great paired with your favourite jeans or trousers and tops.
I would sew it up in our grey coating fabric with silver fleck for a timeless, neutral jacket to wear for years to come.

The Parker ponte trousers look like the perfect way to up the style stakes whilst remaining perfectly comfy, win win in my book!
A pull on trouser with elasticated waist and stylish cuff plus optional back patch pocket that can be sewn up in ponte fabric for extra comfort.
I think this pattern would look perfect sewn up in our Suzette stretch crepe by John Kaldor.

The Emerson dress is the perfect casual day dress for Spring/Summer.
A simple mandarin collar, bust darts and a dropped waist with options for a gathered or tiered skirt and 3/4 or full length sleeves gathered at the hem, this button down dress has lots of fun design features.
I would love to see it sewn up in our dark floral cotton lawn fabric or a simple plain lightweight linen perhaps.

Boyfriend blazers are everywhere this Spring - hello the Loren jacket!
The relaxed fit with shawl collar and optional patch or in seam pockets plus the fact it can be sewn up in a multitude of different fabrics make this jacket pattern a must have for your collection.
It can be sewn up in faux fur or lurex for a glamorous evening look or wool, linen, ponte, sweater knit or crepe for an easy to wear day jacket.
I would sew it up in our vibrant Samba crepe in sapphire for an ultra modern look.
I hope you've enjoyed those gorgeous new patterns and are ready to sew up a new season wardrobe.
Have fun sewing!
Lucy
