The even feed foot for Memory Craft embroidery machines "walks" over fabric to assist with smooth feeding. With this foot, fabric can be sewn without shifting or puckering since the fabric is gripped and fed by both upper and lower feed dogs.
The open toe version is often preferred by quilters as it allows better visibility of the stitching and needle position.
