Ada Trousers Fibre Mood sewing pattern.

Trousers for girls that are both chic and playful? Yes please! Paperbag waist pants are having a moment in the spotlight and the Ada does not disappoint. They feature a high waist with elasticated back and pleated waist‚ and also have a tie belt that you could make in a contrasting print. A cord could also be a nice option! The result is super comfy but still edgy‚ especially if you roll the trouser legs up casually at the ankle.
You should go for a relatively ‘stiff’ fabric for the Ada‚ but one that still feels comfy to wear. If you go for a fabric with a drape that's too fluid‚ the pleats (i.e. the paper bag effect) won’t be quite as impressive. Cotton twill‚ maybe with a little stretch‚ is the perfect choice. However‚ linen can work too. The trousers look lovely in a solid fabric because it helps accentuate the details. However‚ stripe or check fabric could also create a cool‚ playful effect.
All formats of this pattern include seam allowances.
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
We remove the stitching lines when we print Fibre Mood patterns to avoid confusion when cutting out your size.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
