Sew a quick and easy A-line skirt with the Ava Skirt sewing pattern!
The Ava Skirt is a versatile A-line skirt with two hem length options: mini or just below the knee. She’s an everyday classic that’ll go with everything and work throughout the seasons - win-win!
Ava features darts at the front and back for shaping, a regular centre back zip, narrow waistband and optional in-seam pockets! Made up of only four pieces, Ava is simple to sew and a perfect starting point for beginner dressmakers, whereas more experienced sewists will enjoy a quick, satisfying project.
For the Ava Skirt we recommend medium to heavy weight woven fabrics with some structure, such as denim, cotton poplin, cotton canvas, brocade, viscose linen and wools. For the optional in-seam pockets, we recommend a finer fabric such as cotton lawn.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
Choose this option if you would like to print the pattern yourself at home or use your own copy shop/A0 printing service.
