The Baby Lock Serenity is a premium 4-thread overlocker designed to make overlocking easier, more precise and more enjoyable than ever. Packed with clever technology, it removes many of the fiddly jobs traditionally associated with an overlocker, so you can spend less time setting up and more time sewing.
One of its standout innovations is Baby Lock's new Snap-On Needle System. Changing an overlocker needle normally means reaching for a screwdriver and dealing with tiny screws, but not with the Serenity. The needle simply snaps into position, with an integrated magnet holding it securely while you fit it – no screws and no tools required.
Threading is beautifully simple too. RevolutionAir™ threading uses air to thread both the needles and loopers at the push of a button, while Baby Lock's Automatic Thread Delivery System (ATD) automatically supplies the correct amount of thread for each stitch. There are no traditional tension settings to worry about, even when you change fabric, thread or stitch type.
For intricate areas and tricky sewing techniques, the Serenity gives you exceptional control. Electronic speed control lets you slow the machine right down when you need extra precision, with an LED display showing your selected speed. The needle up/down function also allows you to choose exactly where the needle stops, making it easier to reposition your work accurately without turning the handwheel.
The included Overlock Table takes the Serenity beyond conventional overlocking. It allows you to use more than 20 compatible creative accessories, including attachments traditionally associated with coverstitch machines, such as bias binders and belt-loop attachments. This opens up even more possibilities for professional necklines, trims, decorative finishes and garment details.
A knee lift lets you raise and lower the presser foot while keeping both hands on your fabric, and when the presser foot is raised the feed dogs automatically lower to make positioning fabric easier. The Serenity has also been designed for a noticeably quiet, composed sewing experience, particularly at slower speeds.
You'll also enjoy Baby Lock's exclusive Wave Stitch, giving you the option to transform overlocked edges and hems into decorative features, while the included trim bin keeps your sewing area neat and tidy. Existing Baby Lock overlock feet and accessories remain compatible too.
