With this pattern for a long-sleeved cardigan‚ you can sew yourself a cosy cardigan. The Basic Cardigan is a real all-rounder and can be sewn from a variety of fabrics‚ whether for comfy winter days or chilly summer evenings‚ with the Basic Cardigan you are always well equipped!
With the Basic Cardigan sewing pattern and the accompanying free Cardigan video tutorial‚ you can sew your own cardigan with shaped V-neck and long sleeves in about 5 hours. Get your favourite knit fabric and happy sewing!
The sewing pattern is drafted for a fabric with stretch. We use a knit fabric made from 100% cotton with a weight of 300g/m2 for the Basic Cardigan sewing pattern.

Juliana Martejevs sewing patterns use standardised sizing. To find your best fit‚ simply refer to the size chart and compare your chest‚ waist and hip measurements to see which size most closely matches your own.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don't print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files in all sizes‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email.
