The BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition brings together BERNINA's renowned Swiss engineering and the unmistakable style of Liberty. Produced in limited quantities, this beautiful sewing and quilting machine features an exclusive faceplate inspired by Liberty's delicate Velasco Meadow print, along with a matching Liberty dust cover and 32 exclusive decorative stitches.
Behind the special-edition design is a highly capable machine made for dressmaking, quilting and creative sewing. The BERNINA Hook delivers beautifully precise stitches at speeds of up to 900 stitches per minute, while the convenient front-loading Jumbo Bobbin holds up to 70% more thread than a standard bobbin, helping you sew for longer with fewer interruptions.
There's plenty of creative choice with 1,027 built-in stitch patterns, including 282 decorative stitches, 28 quilting stitches, 29 utility stitches and five sewing alphabets. Among these are 32 exclusive Liberty decorative stitches, specially selected to complement the character of the Liberty Edition and add beautiful detail to garments, quilts and accessories.
The modern 4.3-inch colour touchscreen makes selecting and adjusting stitches straightforward, while the multifunction knobs give you precise control over your settings. The built-in Sewing Consultant is there when you need a little help choosing suitable settings for your fabric and technique.
With 7 inches of space to the right of the needle, there's comfortable room for larger garments, quilt blocks and other substantial projects. Adjustable presser foot pressure makes it easier to achieve excellent results across a wide variety of fabrics, from fine and stretchy materials through to thicker layers.
The BERNINA Free Hand System (FHS) lets you raise and lower the presser foot with the knee lifter, leaving both hands free to position and guide your fabric. An automatic thread cutter, semi-automatic needle threader, needle stop up/down, Start/Stop button and adjustable sewing speed make everyday sewing quicker and more comfortable.
For quilters, the BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition is BSR compatible, allowing you to add the optional BERNINA Stitch Regulator for beautifully consistent stitch lengths during free-motion quilting.
The machine also comes with eight BERNINA presser feet, including three additional feet chosen for creative sewing: Edgestitch Foot #10, Open Embroidery Foot #20 and Patchwork Foot #37. Together with the exclusive Liberty styling and matching dust cover, they make this a special machine that's every bit as capable as it is beautiful.
