Sew a fit & flare dress inspired by Mad Men's Betty Draper with the Betty Dress pattern!
The Betty Dress has a classic silhouette that is fitted at the bust and waist, then flares out into a full circle skirt. With a beautiful boat neckline at the front and a V-neck at the back, the dress fastens with an invisible zip down the centre back. The neckline and armhole raw edges are enclosed with an all-in-one facing for a neat and satisfying finish.

The Betty Dress works beautifully in a variety of different fabrics, including light to medium weight cotton and cotton lawn, rayon, crepe and even lightweight wools.
Because of the nature of the circle skirt, we recommend avoiding any strong one-way directional prints.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
