Inspired by the effortless summer wardrobe of Carrie Bradshaw, the Carrie Trousers are perfect everyday trousers. Floaty and cool, they’re great with flats for a day on the beach or a Sunday stroll through the park, though they work just as well dressed up with heels for an evening out for more of a glamorous look.
The Carrie Trousers are loose-fitting through the leg, slightly tapering towards the ankle. With no tricky closures, they have a flat-fronted, elasticated-back waistband with pretty pleats at the front. Practical and ideal for spring and summer, the Carrie Trousers are mid-rise and feature ever-useful slanted pockets. Easy to fit, they are a great starting point for newbie trouser sewers who want to get to grips with construction.
For the Carrie Trousers you’ll need a lightweight woven fabric with a lots of drape, in particular rayon and lightweight crepe. We’ve also made them in Roma Ponte.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
