The Hobo bag pattern is perfect for anyone who wants to sew a stylish and practical bag themselves. This easy bag sewing pattern is ideal for sewing beginners and allows you to create your own Hobo Bag quickly and effortlessly. The hobo bag is fully lined‚ sturdy‚ and durable‚ and the pattern comes with two variations: you can wear your Hobo Bag pattern classic over the shoulder or as a Crossbody bag pattern. With this Crossbody bag pattern‚ you can get creative: whether using denim‚ corduroy‚ or faux leather like suede‚ the materials are fully flexible. The leather bag pattern looks especially trendy when you add eyelets giving your handmade Hobo Bag a fashionable edge. Inside‚ a snap fastener ensures security and practical closure.
The sewing pattern is drafted for a woven fabric or a faux leather without stretch. We us a microfibre faux leather made of 20% cotton and 80% polyester with a weight of 330g/m2.
Fabric requirements (140cm wide):
Finished bag measurements incl. strap: Shoulder bag: 50 cm (19 ¾“) wide x 60 cm (23 ½“) high | Crossbody bag: 50 cm (19 ¾“) wide x 85 cm (33 ½“) high.
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don't print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files in all sizes‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email. We recommend creating an account before placing your order so you can easily access your files again by logging in at any time. The following files are included to print at home:
