The Cocoon Coat is a stylish, easy-to-wear coat, perfect for keeping you cosy throughout Autumn and Winter. It features a shaped collar stand, drop shoulder sleeve and it’s fully lined. Optional welt pockets can be added for those who want to keep their hands cosy and test their skills. There are no fastenings and the gently oversized look and comfy fit mean you’ll be reaching for it all season.
When it comes to fabric, the Cocoon Coat is very versatile, so whether you’re looking for a staple everyday coat or an all-out statement, you can make it happen with this pattern! Sew it in a classic coating such as melton or boiled wool, or go for big drama with a bright pink mohair!
We recommend medium to heavy weight non-stretch fabrics such as melton wool, boiled wool, coatings, and boucle.
The Cocoon Coat is fully-lined, so you will also need lining fabric. We recommend using something with a silky finish so you can get the jacket on and off easily, such as satin, Bremsilk cupro, acetate, or even silk charmeuse for all-out luxury.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
