The Costermonger is the essential market tote designed as a backpack. Fill it up with wholesome goodies‚ leaving your hands free to tickle your dog. This is a simple satisfying sew that uses little fabric so ideal for using up some of your stash or making as a present. The instructions show you how to make it with leather or webbing. Finished measurements length 45cm‚ width 40cm.
oilskin‚ dry oilskin‚ mid-heavy weight cotton canvas or drill‚ mid weight denim (8-14oz). All hardware‚ leather and fabric suggestions can be found by clicking on the 'suitable fabrics' tab.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email.
