Sew an adorable wrap top with the Ella Blouse sewing pattern!
The Ella Blouse is a pretty waist-length top that wraps across the front and secures in place with ties. The two front edges gently pleat into the tie at the waist for a beautiful detail, and the 3/4 length grown-on sleeves are nice and easy to sew. On the inside, the blouse is neatly finished with facings. This pattern is the perfect project for beginner, intermediate and advanced sewists alike - a versatile wardrobe piece that is both simple and interesting to sew.
Make your Ella in a plain fabric for a classic wrap top you can wear with anything, or pick a beautiful print for a wow moment! We recommend using a light woven fabric with drape such as viscose or crepe, and you could also use a light cotton lawn.
The Ella Blouse is waist-length, perfect to pair with high waisted bottoms such as our Keira Shorts , Peggy Trousers or Lana Skirt , or to wear over a dress as a cover-up.
For the Ella Blouse we recommend lightweight woven fabrics with lots of drape, such as viscose, georgette and lightweight crepes. For more beginner stitchers, it would also look lovely in a lightweight cotton such as lawn or voile.
