The HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Gathering Presser Foot for AMBER™ s|100 makes it easy to gather fabric or gather and attach a ruffle in one simple step. It is ideal for light to medium weight fabrics and is a useful accessory for creating gathered skirts, sleeves, ruffles and decorative details.

For straightforward gathering, use the foot with a straight stitch in the left needle position and a stitch length between 3 and 6. The longer the stitch length, the more the fabric will gather, and increasing the upper thread tension can create an even fuller effect.

The foot can also gather one layer while attaching it to a second flat layer at the same time. Simply position the fabric to be gathered under the foot and guide the second layer through the groove, making it quicker and easier to create neatly attached ruffles and gathered panels.
