Ideal for creating soft gathers in lightweight fabris‚ the gathering foot makes it simple to create the gather that you want. The underside of the foot is raised behind the needle with an additional metal guide in front of the needle to produce gathers on a single layer of fabric. Take the hassle out of gathering with this handy gathering foot.
How to attach the gathering foot
The gathering foot sits horizontally when fitted, so it attaches slightly differently from a standard presser foot.
First, hook the rear bar of the foot into the back of the presser foot holder. Then lift the front of the foot upwards until the front bar clicks securely into place.
