The draping and waterfall effect take centre stage in this halter top with a stand-up collar, but the asymmetrical hem at the centre front adds a lovely little touch. All edges are finished with bias tape, and at the back, Kiri fastens at the nape of the neck with buttons and elastic loops for comfort and ease of wear. Think of supple fabrics such as satin, acetate, charmeuse or silk, such as crepe de chine, for an extra elegant, flowing look. Viscose (crepe), lyocell and chambray also work well if you’re looking for a slightly more ‘daily chic’ look, provided the fabric drapes sufficiently. Above all, choose fabrics that move beautifully with you, so that the asymmetrical lines and draping effect are shown off to their best advantage.
