The Lagan is a winter coat that you will find indispensable for the entire season. The classic‚ elegant style is suited for everyday wear as well as for a more formal event‚ making it a versatile choice if you choose to only make one coat for the year!
Primary Fabric Coating fabric such as woolen‚ boiled wool‚ non-stretch fleece and gabardine.
Lining Viscose lining‚ acetate lining‚ cupro‚ Bemberg lining‚ silk habotai‚ satin.
Interfacing A Lightweight woven or weft-insertion fusible interfacing.
Interfacing B Lightweight knit tricot fusible interfacing.
Back Stay Fabric Stable woven fabric such as muslin and quilting cotton - this piece will not be visible in the final garment so colour matching is not necessary.
Sleeve Head Fabric Felt or woolen - you can also use primary fabric; this piece will not be visible in the final garment so colour matching is not necessary.
When selecting an Itch to Stitch pattern with cup options‚ the first step is to work out your cup size. To do this‚ measure around your high bust and then around the fullest part of your bust. Subtract the high bust measurement from the full bust measurement and round the difference:
Once you've identified your cup size‚ simply check the size chart in the image gallery. Select your bust size from the correct cup size row‚ then choose your waist and hip measurements as usual.
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don't print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files in all sizes‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email. We recommend creating an account before placing your order so you can easily access your files again by logging in at any time. The following files are included to print at home:
