With its boxy shape, cropped hem and pretty collar, Libby is a contemporary yet timeless little blouse with loads of potential.
The Libby Blouse features a comfortable loose fit, button-up front, notched collar, partial collar stand, unlined yoke with gently gathered back, and short grown-on cuffed sleeves.
Ideal for wearing with a high-waisted skirt or jeans, Libby has a cropped hem with two options: keep it straight across the front, or gently curve it to add a little extra length, perfect for a French tuck! Both versions feature a gently curved back hem.
Thanks to its easy fit, with this pattern you can really focus on nailing the details. The unusual collar stand and notched collar give you the chance to build your sewing skills.
The Libby Blouse makes the perfect canvas for fun prints - though of course she looks gorgeous in a solid too. Use a viscose or crepe fabric for a gorgeously floaty blouse, or go for something sheer to elevate your Libby to a whole new level!
For the Libby Blouse we recommend lightweight woven fabrics with lots of drape, such as rayon, viscose, georgette and lightweight crepes. For less experienced stitchers, it would also look lovely in a lightweight cotton such as lawn or voile, plus lightweight linens and viscose linens.
