Sew a beautiful blouse with a shawl collar detail with the Lilian Blouse sewing pattern!
The Lilian Blouse is a satisfying project, featuring buttons, a lovely shawl collar and a choice of three sleeves: short, 3/4 length or a full-length sleeve with a narrow cuff.
You get two blouses in one with this pattern: sew up the double-ended darts at the front and back for a beautifully fitted version, or ignore the darts to create a contemporary boxy shape.
Wear Lilian over jeans for a great everyday look, or try the fitted version with the Ultimate Trousers or tucked into the Peggy Trousers or Ultimate Pencil Skirt for a touch of vintage.
Lilian is perfect in a light to medium weight fabric with good drape, such as viscose or crepe. If you’re sewing the fitted version with the extra darts, you could also use a cotton lawn for a crisp look - it’ll be easier to sew too!
Light to medium weight fabrics with some drape, such as rayon, viscose or crepe. If you’re sewing version 1, with the double-ended darts, you could also use cotton lawn for a really crisp look.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
