Louisa is a flowing dress with a romantic twist and a surprising back detail. Go for the long version for an elegant, striking look, or choose the short version for a lighter, more playful look. The gathers at the front give the skirt lovely volume, while a large pleat at the back adds extra movement. The delicate, adjustable shoulder straps continue around the back and play a key role in the striking bow. There are buttonholes at the bottom of the straps and buttons on the bow, which you use to fasten the bow to the straps and keep it in place. A playful detail that turns the open back into a real eye-catcher.
Louisa looks absolutely lovely in light to medium-weight fabrics that drape enough to emphasise the pleats and volume of the skirt. Think cotton, linen, poplin or a light jacquard. Want to make the large bow at the back stand out even more? Then reinforce it with iron-on fleece for extra body and a defined shape. Fancy something a bit more daring? Then go for a quilted fabric and give the romantic silhouette a surprising, contemporary twist.

We remove the stitching lines when we print Fibre Mood patterns to avoid confusion when cutting out your size.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
