The Luna Pyjamas will keep you cosy while feeling a million dollars! They're easy to make, so they're perfect for beginners. If you've taken our Intro to Sewing Masterclass on Stitch School, this would be a great next step.
For those with a few dressmaking projects under your belt, you will enjoy the simplicity of this quick and satisfying project. This pattern is also a great one to make for others thanks to the easy fitting of the wrap top and the elasticated trousers, hey make a great festive set of PJs!
The trousers are super simple with no outside leg seam, which makes them comfy to wear and speedy to sew! At the waist, they are hemmed to create an elastic channel making them nice and easy to fit.
The top is a simple wrap and the tie threads through the side seam and wraps around the back. You can choose to tie it at the side or to wrap it around a further time to create more shape that the waist. The neckline is finished with a facing and that’s it - so simple!
You can make your Luna Pyjamas in a light to medium weight woven fabric like cotton lawn or viscose. We tried them in a knit fabric for the purple sample and they worked a treat in a viscose jersey too!
We recommend light to medium weight woven fabrics with drape for the Luna Pyjamas, such as rayon, viscose, cotton lawn, cotton voile, double gauze and linen. As you will be sleeping in them, we suggest sticking to natural fibres to keep your pyjamas soft and breathable.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
