How to describe Madeline in just one word? Flowing. And sensual... Whoops‚ that's two. It's not a hard pattern to make‚ but you do have to be extra careful when you get started. The fabric is cut on the bias‚ making it stretchier. That's exactly what gives it the perfect looking drape‚ but it's also what makes it harder to cut‚ pin‚ and work with. Have some patience though and you're sure to be rewarded with a gem of a skirt‚ in the length that you love the most.
Madeline was made for silky satin. It has the right weight to create the perfect elegant drape. Don’t pick an overly thin or flimsy fabric because it won’t drape elegantly and will make any flaws stand out.
All formats of this pattern include seam allowances.
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
We remove the stitching lines when we print Fibre Mood patterns to avoid confusion when cutting out your size.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email.
