Markina Dress Itch to Stitch sewing pattern.
The Markina Dress strikes that perfect balance between polished and effortless. With its clean lines, tailored details, and comfortable knit construction, it’s the kind of dress that looks put-together without sacrificing ease. The button placket and waistband create beautiful shaping, while the gently flared skirt adds movement and femininity. Whether styled for work or everyday wear, Markina delivers a refined silhouette with the comfort you love from knit fabrics.
Primary Fabric Use a medium-weight, stable knit fabric with 50% horizontal stretch, such as interlock, ponte, or double knit. Choose a fabric with excellent recovery, preferably one that contains elastane.
Lining (for the inner waistband and decorative pocket flaps, if using) Use a very lightweight knit fabric with stretch similar to the primary fabric (50% horizontal stretch). Choose one with excellent recovery, preferably containing elastane. You may also use the primary fabric, provided it is not too thick.
Interfacing Use lightweight knit or tricot fusible interfacing.
When selecting an Itch to Stitch pattern with cup options‚ the first step is to work out your cup size. To do this‚ measure around your high bust and then around the fullest part of your bust. Subtract the high bust measurement from the full bust measurement and round the difference:
Once you've identified your cup size‚ simply check the size chart in the image gallery. Select your bust size from the correct cup size row‚ then choose your waist and hip measurements as usual.
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don't print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files in all sizes‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email. We recommend creating an account before placing your order so you can easily access your files again by logging in at any time. The following files are included to print at home:
