Melrose Top and Dress Itch to Stitch sewing pattern.
You can make a casual top or an elegant dress with the Melrose pattern. The relaxed-fit top or dress has a wide round neckline and dolman short sleeve‚ and it is the perfect blank canvas to showcase your pretty fabric. The Melrose Top & Dress comes in A‚ B‚ C‚ D and DD cups for a better fit. The Melrose Top & Dress pattern has three views‚ and you can make one of each for different occasions!
Primary Fabric Use lightweight to medium weight woven fabric with good drape. Rayon twill‚ chambray and linen are great choices.
Lining For View A: Use lightweight‚ stable woven fabric such as cotton. The dress is not lined‚ but the lining is used for the pockets. If your fabric is lightweight‚ you can use
Primary Fabric as lining too.
When selecting an Itch to Stitch pattern with cup options‚ the first step is to work out your cup size. To do this‚ measure around your high bust and then around the fullest part of your bust. Subtract the high bust measurement from the full bust measurement and round the difference:
Once you've identified your cup size‚ simply check the size chart in the image gallery. Select your bust size from the correct cup size row‚ then choose your waist and hip measurements as usual.
If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don't print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files in all sizes‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email. We recommend creating an account before placing your order so you can easily access your files again by logging in at any time. The following files are included to print at home:
