Make a quick & easy sundress with the Oona Dress sewing pattern!
The Oona Dress is a stylish summer dress that’s super easy to sew. She’s ideal for absolute beginners and incredibly speedy for more experienced sewists.
A sleeveless dress with wide bra-concealing straps, Oona has no closures at all - you just pop it over your head and you’re ready to go! Shaping is added with the choice of a wide elastic at the waist or ties at the back.
The neckline is finished neatly with a facing, and there are two cheeky side splits to make it easier to move in Oona’s straight skirt. And if you can’t live without them, we’ve included optional side-seam pockets too.
Oona works beautifully in cotton poplin or lawn, as well as more structured fabrics like linen or a light denim. For a more fluid look you can make her in a viscose, a crepe or a linen viscose. With its minimal seams, the Oona Dress is perfect to showcase a fun print, plus she only needs a maximum of 2.4 metres of fabric!

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
Choose this option if you would like to print the pattern yourself at home or use your own copy shop/A0 printing service.
