The PFAFF® Corded Wavy Edge Foot makes it easy to create a soft, decorative wavy edge with a beautifully ruffled finish. It is ideal for adding an elegant edge to bridal veils, figure skating costumes, ballet skirts, crafts and other decorative projects.

The foot is designed to be used with a 3-thread rolled edge and a fine 0.3mm nylon fishing line or similar cord. The cord is guided through the foot and enclosed within the rolled edge as you sew, helping the fabric form its distinctive wavy shape.

For best results, use a fabric with some stretch. If you are working with a non-stretch woven fabric, cut the fabric on the bias to help achieve the same flowing effect. For an extra decorative finish, contrasting 40wt rayon embroidery thread can be used in the upper and lower loopers to create a colourful, slightly shiny edge.
