The PFAFF® Decorative Fringe Foot is designed to create beautiful looped embroidery and textured fringe effects with ease. It is especially effective on fabrics such as terry cloth and velvet, where the raised loops add extra dimension and a playful decorative finish.

The foot works with the specially designed Decorative Fringe Stitch, although a narrow zigzag stitch can also be used. Once the stitching is complete, the loops can be left intact for a soft textured effect or carefully cut open to create fringe. The stitch construction helps keep the threads secure in the fabric even after the loops are cut.

The foot can also be used for tailor tacks, and the groove underneath makes it possible to create loops over cords for even more decorative effects. For cut fringe, polyester or cotton thread is recommended, and it is always worth testing your stitch length and tension on a scrap of fabric first.
