Strand Coat Merchant and Mills sewing pattern.
Sizes 8-10-12-14-16-18 (see the sizing guide in the image gallery for more sizing information).
The Strand is a simple unlined coat for cutting a dash in the city. The side seams have been brought to the front and feature a side pocket. The waist seam has an in-seam pocket. The sleeves are set in and sport elbow darts and the front fastening is created by 5 x 1.8cm inseam hooks and eyes.
Designed for linen but we find this pattern also works well in cotton drill‚ light to medium weight wool‚ and 8-12oz denim.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
If you choose the PDF digital download option‚ a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email.
