The Leah sewing pattern is a wonderfully versatile design you will want to make and wear again and again. With its clean lines and understated shape, Leah can be sewn as an easy everyday shift top or a simple mini dress you can throw on and go.

For a softer, more feminine look, choose the gathered peplum top or floaty tiered midi dress version. The peplum and tiered dress options also include optional side ties for a pretty, playful finish.

Recommended fabrics

For the shift dress, choose medium-weight woven fabrics with enough structure to hold the shape, such as linen, cotton twill, lightweight canvas or jacquard.

For the other versions, light- to medium-weight woven fabrics work best. Try cotton poplin, lawn, seersucker, double gauze, linen and linen blends, or viscose/rayon for a softer drape.
