Slim-fitting, ankle-grazing and a true Sew Over It classic, the Ultimate Trousers are so simple to make you will be whipping them up in a couple of hours.
The Ultimate Trousers sewing pattern is the perfect choice for an advanced beginner who wants to delve into trouser-making without too many complicated elements. With no tricky fly to contend with, the Ultimate Trousers fasten with an invisible zip on the side. The waistline is finished with a facing and the trousers are machine hemmed. Made up of only four pattern pieces it’s hard to go wrong. Plus we’ve included a shorts sewing pattern too!
We recommend a medium to heavy weight woven fabric such as cotton, wool, crepe or denim for this pattern. Anything with a small amount of stretch (around 3%) will make for an extra comfy fit. For a loose, summery look you could also try rayon or other lightweight drapey fabric.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
