Sew a vintage-inspired Dress or Blouse with the Viola sewing pattern!
The Viola Dress & Blouse is the latest addition to our vintage collection, featuring a button up front, flat collar, gathers at the waist and shoulder, a lined back yoke, slightly dropped shoulder and a wide waistband. The pièce de résistance is the shirred panel at the back, which makes Viola comfortable to wear whilst giving you a beautiful fitted look.
Make Viola as a high-waist Blouse to pair with high-waisted bottoms like our Peggy Trousers or Ultimate Pencil Skirt , or sew yourself a beautiful Viola Dress. The midi skirt gathers into the waistband to mirror the bodice and closes with buttons down the front. And yes, it has pockets!
Light to medium weight fabric with structure such as cotton, cotton poplin, cotton lawn, cotton sateen, linen or chambray. You can also use viscoses and crepes for a softer version.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF‚ along with the digital pattern files‚ when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
