When it comes to nightwear comfort is crucial and there's no better way to achieve it than creating your own design from one of our sleepwear sewing patterns. We all love a good night's sleep and you just can't beat heading to bed in perfect pyjamas or a pretty nightie after a long day. We've got plenty of practical everyday patterns for pyjamas, shorts, robes and night gowns for the whole family. For the most comfortable pyjamas you can’t beat a nice soft jersey fabric such as a cotton or viscose jersey so look out for patterns that can be sewn in these fabrics. If you want something a little more luxurious consider patterns for fabrics such as satin and crepe de chine. If you want to sew up some warm winter pyjamas look for patterns that suggest fabrics such as cotton flannel. Most pyjama and nightgown patterns are fairly loose fitting and therefore an easy sew so they can be a great place to start for beginners or experienced sewers who just want a quick, satisfying sew.
