If it is your first time sewing a swimwear pattern it is probably best to choose a more simple design with limited details. If you are fuller busted the Cashmerette swimwear pattern is a great option with cup sizes from a C to an H included. Always check the pattern packet details for the best types of fabric to work with and you will get the best results. Swimwear patterns are sewn with stretchy fabrics and it is important to choose one with the right amount of stretch, plus certain fabrics will cope better with chlorine and salt than others. The great thing is you probably won’t need much fabric so you might even be able to make a practice run first and, trust us, there is no better feeling than wearing swimwear you sewed yourself.
