Lap seams are commonly found on denim clothing whereby the two edges of the fabric are folded in opposite directions ensuring that both cut edges are enclosed in the finished seam. This type of seam is very similar to a run and fell effect which is used on lighter fabrics.
For use with heavier fabrics such as denim, twill and canvas.
