Blake is a semi-fitted, slightly flared skirt with a straight silhouette. The waist is finished with a facing with no separate waistband. The front and back feature waist darts and centre seams, with an invisible zip and a neatly finished slit in the centre back seam. The skirt has pockets in the side seams and is finished with a free-hanging lining. Blake is midi length.

Recommended fabrics
To sew this skirt, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, with good drape, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque
- the fibre content can include natural fibres (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibres (viscose), blends (wool / silk, wool / polyester, cotton / viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester / elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, suiting fabrics
We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibres (viscose), blends (viscose / elastane, viscose / polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester / elastane).
The skirt in the photo is made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, drapey, soft, structured, and has very little stretch. The fibre content is a blend of 56% polyester, 24% artificial cotton, 18% wool and 2% spandex.
The lining is 100% viscose.
