The Great British Sewing Bee is back for series 10 and we'll be seeing new presenter Kiell Smith-Bynoe rubbing shoulders with our favourite judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant once again.

Kiell first stepped into the role in the 2023 Christmas special having been a contestant himself in a previous celebrity special episode.

The first episode will air on BBC One on Tuesday 21st May 2024.

Sewing Bee Series 10 Contestants

Ten hopeful contestants will be stepping up to their sewing machines to sew up a storm and compete for the Great British Sewing Bee crown.

From left to right we have Don, Alex, Marcus, Pascha, Luke, Lauren, Comfort, Georgie, Janet, Neil, Ailsa and Suzy.

Don was taught to sew by his Mother 70 years ago on a hand crank machine.

Alex is from Derbyshire (our neck of the woods) and started sewing stuffed toys as a child.

Marcus likes sewing quirky garments and has his own very individual style.

Pascha once made a Marie Antoinette inspired ballgown so is no stranger to metres and metres of slippery fabrics and embellishments.

Luke was taught to sew by their grandmother - we're loving the passing down of sewing skills by previous generations in this crew.

Lauren loves a bit of 80s fashion and we can't wait to see those influences in her designs.

Comfort decided to start sewing after having her first baby and has never looked back since.

Georgie loves a good refashion or upcycle when sewing to keep things sustainable.

Janet loves sewing glamorous dresses for holidays and dancing classes, we love a good excuse for sewing a knock out dress too!

Neil decided to learn to sew after becoming frustrated at the lack of clothes available to fit his 6' 4" frame properly.

Ailsa loves contemporary and modern sewing and is also passionate about sustainability.

Suzy is big into refashions and upcycles too finding fabric treasures in charity shops to create her garments.

We can't wait to see this bunch get cracking and see what tricky challenges the judges have in store this time.
