Carla is a pair of close-fitting trousers, flared from the knee down. The trousers do not have a waistband, the waist is finished with a facing. The front features side panels that imitate slash pockets. There are waist darts at the back. In place of the front waist darts, there are vents that serve as closures. The trousers close with buttons and buttonholes and are floor-length.
Instructions for Viki Sews patterns are downloaded in PDF format via a QR code that is printed on the pattern pieces. The instructions can then either be printed or read directly from your phone, tablet or PC.
Recommended fabrics
To sew these trousers, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:
- medium-weight, pliable, soft, with good stretch
- the fibre content should include elastane or spandex and can also include natural fibres (wool, cotton), artificial fibres (viscose), blends (wool / silk, wool / polyester, cotton / viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyamide)
- the following fabrics are recommended: wool suiting, gabardine.
We do not recommend fabrics without elastane or very stretchy materials (knits).
The trousers in the photos are made of wool suiting. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, with stretch. The fibre content is a blend of wool and elastane.
