This long, romantic dress will give any winter outfit a playful, feminine twist. Even better, Gladys is the perfect go-to for when you can't make up your mind about what to wear. This dress is also hack-friendly; make it with or without the ruffled trim, omit the flounce at the bottom, or shorten the whole thing into a smart blouse. Gladys looks brilliant paired with an oversized wool cardigan.
Recommended fabrics
Gladys looks and feels best in soft drape fabric such as muslin, (viscose) crepe, or satin. However, somewhat stiffer fabrics, e.g. poplin, linen, are also an option. Solid or a patterned? Either one will work! Woven fabrics bring out the best in this pattern's details. If you prefer knit fabrics, just make sure to select one that holds its shape better, e.g. interlock.

We remove the stitching lines when we print Fibre Mood patterns to avoid confusion when cutting out your size.
Please note that we don’t print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF, along with the digital pattern files, when we dispatch your paper pattern.
Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.
