The fringe foot is sometimes called the tailor tacking foot. It has a raised bar at the front which causes he thread to stand away from the fabric. Using a simple zigzag stitch you can create beautiful surface texture, custom trims, fringed flowers and appliques or use it to create traditional tailors tacks.
