Heat Away Stabilisers
Heat-Away Stabilizers are great for making lace, using on pile fabrics, organza and sheers. Simply use a medium iron and they will melt away.
Heat-away stabilisers are particularly useful for fabrics that cannot be submerged in water but can withstand heat. Fabrics such as velvet, faux fur, chiffon, organza, lace or certain synthetics may be sensitive to water and could be damaged or distorted if submerged. Heat-away stabilisers provide a safe alternative for stabilising these fabrics during machine embroidery.
When machine embroidering on finished garments like jackets, bags, or hats, removing water-soluble stabilisers through washing may not be feasible or may risk damaging the item. Heat-away stabilisers dissolve with heat, allowing for easy removal without the need for washing.
Also, in projects involving layered fabrics, heat-away stabilisers can be used between layers to stabilize the entire piece without the need for washing out water-soluble stabilisers.
