Visby Henley and Top Itch to Stitch sewing pattern.

The Visby Henley & Top will become your favorite wardrobe staple. Wear this long sleeve pullover by itself on  a warm day, or as a base layer underneath a snuggly sweater on a cool night. The Visby comes as a classic henley, but you also have the option to add a hood or skip the buttoned placket altogether. You also have the choice to add a bottom band!

Recommended fabrics

Primary Fabric Lightweight four-way stretch knit fabric with at least 50% horizontal stretch and 50% vertical stretch. French terry, cotton Lycra jersey and other cotton blend jersey are good choices. Slightly heavier weight knit can be used in View B only but not in Views A and C because the intersection of the placket and neckband/hood can become too bulky with thicker fabric. You can choose to colour block the top by using different fabric for the front, back, sleeves, cuffs, neckband, hood and placket; use similar knit fabric for all these parts.

Interfacing Very lightweight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing for Views A and C (View B does not require interfacing).

Make sure to check the size chart in the image gallery before choosing your size. Every pattern brand uses slightly different measurements, so it’s always worth double-checking to ensure you select the correct size for the best possible fit.

If you opt for the printed paper pattern we'll print it on our in-house large format A0 printer and post it to your address.

Please note that we don't print the instructions. These will be emailed to you as a PDF, along with the digital pattern files in all sizes, when we dispatch your paper pattern.

Occasionally some large pattern pieces may be split across two A0 sheets and will need to be joined together.

PDF Digital Download

If you choose the PDF digital download option, a link to download your pattern files will be included in your order confirmation email. We recommend creating an account before placing your order so you can easily access your files again by logging in at any time. The following files are included to print at home:

• PDF for A4/Letter printout. The full pattern spans 24 pages (sizes 00–20), though you'll only need to print the pieces for your size, so the final page count may be less.
• PDF for A0/US printout. The full pattern spans 2 pages (sizes 00–20), though you'll only need to print the pieces for your size, so the final page count may be less.
